At frequent intervals buses managed by Uttarakhand Roadways
are available for Nainital and the surrounding settlements
from ISBT Anand Vihar, (Delhi) round the clock.
Driving to Nainital takes 7 to 8 hours. From Delhi, it's highway driving throughout. NH 24 connects Delhi to Rampur via Hapur. At Rampur, turn and head north on NH 87 all the way upto Nainital. En-route halts include the Wonderland, Rwy crossing, Moradabad and The Cottage, Jeliokot.
Driving By Road
The four lane highway from Delhi up to Hapur is a driver's dream where you can allow your speedometer to cross the mark of 100kmph. Things are not that smooth beyond Hapur up to Gadh Mukteshwar. Long stretches of road of course are there but wide-enough only to pass one vehicle at a time. In between Gadh and Moradabad you have a mixed feeling of driving both on good and bad stretches some of which are prone to traffic-jams.
The two lane Moradabad by-pass culminates into Rampur road which is just OK and has no major problem. A direct route to Corbett Park may be opted from Moradabad itself. Nainital or Kathgodam may also be arrived at by way of opting a bifurcation (from Corbett Park road) running along the foot of Shivalik hills.
